@frugalprepper: i guess it depends on what you learned shooting with.i naturally swipe the safety every time and dont consider a safety a issue.my carry is a p30 so it matches up.plus a 709 is only $175 and it works.good luck with whatever your good with

@Theroadtroll: I have seen guy after guy in training, that has carried a gun with a safety for many years and is sure they will swipe the safety off. You get them under a little stress with a little adrenaline and they forget to take the safety off.

@frugalprepper: reason i said about the 709 was the restrike ability so you dont have to rack slide to reset trigger.i dont doubt you.alot also shoot themselves drawing or putting in holster.i just reread a article that safeties saved cops lives.criminals got police officers guns and tried to shoot them and the safety was on.repatition is key i think.stress is a factor too though
