Here's a quick. behind the scenes look at the adventure I had with Ben from BladeHQ.com, where we put the Spyderco Paramilitary 2 through a good, hard - but sensible - outdoor test.

I began with the goal of making this a meaningful hard-use test, and tried to demonstrate some of what a lost individual may have to do to survive a night in the wilderness with just a pocket-knife and a lighter. Many people I know feel totally prepared with those two tools, plus a little food & water. I don't share that attitude, but I think I've shown - in the hard-use test we put this Paramilitary 2 through - that a quality folding knife might just be enough to get you through a short crisis.
