The entire system is rigged, so I don't vote because I don't support organized crime. As you stated, it really is up to we the people to save ourselves, and as you sad "Trump is not a hero, he's just a guy". Agreed.
With that said and all rig jobs aside, I see that these days voting is not so much about voting for anything, its really voting against someone or against something. We've gone from a mentality of "lets accomplish this!" to a mentality of "lets be outraged about that".
