In this video, I really want to increase your awareness of the vitally important trace mineral called iodine. We’re going to cover what you need to know about iodine, including iodine deficiency symptoms.
What are trace minerals?
Trace minerals are minerals that are needed in very small amounts. But, the problem is, there are no requirements yet for trace minerals—only for bigger minerals like calcium and vitamins.
About iodine:
• The function of iodine supports the brain function in a growing infant.
• All cells need iodine.
• The reproductive organs need iodine.
• Iodine is also used to detoxify heavy metals.
• Iodine is needed to reduce the need for insulin.
• Iodine helps control metabolism through the thyroid.
One cause of thyroid problems or iodine problems would be the lack of conversion of T4 to T3.
