Ben-Hur 1959

Judah Ben-Hur lived as a wealthy Jewish prince and merchant in Jerusalem in the early 1st century. Along with the new governor comes his old friend Messala as commander of the Roman legions. At first they meet after a long time, but they are separated by different political views. During the welcome parade, a tile falls from Judas' house and injures the governor. Although Messala knows they are not guilty, he sends Judas to the galleys and throws his mother and sister into prison. But Judas swears that he will return and take revenge.
