Wonderful lesson... I have been in rescue for over 20 years and you can see how much animals help humans. Service dogs, police dogs, family dogs/cats, etc. You are right, though, humans come first and animals should not be idols. Take care of them or let them go to someone else. Thousands and thousands of animals are being put to sleep in shelters and so many go through great abuse. If anyone needs help in placing an animal in rescue or adopting one go to petfinder.com
All rescues listed with dogs/cats available for adoption,too Such good advice, Linda, for using natural products and good food for your pets. You look like sunshine in your top! Love you!

My prayer is that people would stop getting designer breeds and qould instead go to shelters and the pound. i have had 3 dogs - all from the shelters. all 3 were wonderful. i have one little guy left and he is 12! God bless!

@Pennysaver: I'm with you Pennysaver about the "designer breeds". They shouldn't be making dogs the way they want them because the dogs have a lousy life. They get sick easy, have all kinds of illness that are brought on by the breeding process they do to them. It's inhumane if you aske me. The good ole "Hines 57" variety has always been the best dogs and I've had one, and 3 breeds ( not designer breeds though) and the ole "Hines 57" was the best dog of them all!
