Be Prepared - Capitalism And Loneliness - Trudeau Owns The Media
Does Capitalism Really Make Us Lonely?
Presume the economic case for free markets is true: that capitalism makes us freer and richer, creates better jobs and greater opportunities, and helps us solve environmental problems. Does it make us happier too?
Liberalism is a Mental Disorder akin to Schizophrenia according to New Study
A new survey of more than 8,000 people has found that those who identify with left-wing political beliefs are more likely to have been diagnosed with a mental illness.
Ann Coulter’s “liberalism is a mental disorder” catchphrase has become something of a clichéd meme, but the data appears to support it.
Carried out by Slate Star Codex, the online survey collected a wealth of data from respondents about their education, demographic, lifestyle and political views.
The results show that people who occupy the farther left end of the political spectrum are more likely to have been “formally diagnosed with depression, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia.”
Surprise: Capitalism makes people happier and more giving
You must be lonely. The media say loneliness is everywhere in America.
A Los Angeles Times columnist says, “There’s a mass loneliness crisis going on.”
“Capitalism is Making You Lonely,” says Jacobin magazine.
Vox claims, “Capitalism makes us feel empty inside.”
As usual, the media are just wrong.
“There’s no empirical data that actually shows that we feel more lonely now than we did in the past,” historian Johan Norberg points out to me. “When researchers compare people with previous generations at the same stage of life, they don’t find evidence of increased loneliness.”
Canada’s legacy media is bought and paid for
The Trudeau government has stuffed the pockets of Canada’s legacy media over the years by providing them with bailouts and other taxpayer handouts that have destroyed the objectivity and credibility of some of Canada’s biggest media outlets.
For Canadians to get a real understanding of what’s happening, they have to look to outlets like True North or the foreign press.
Who got paid from Trudeau’s $23.5 million media assistance fund?
The number of media subsidy programs provided by the federal government keeps growing.
At the moment, there’s:
The $50 million Local Journalism Initiative
The $595 million media bailout
The $60 million pandemic-specific Emergency Support Fund
The $10 million Special Measures for Journalism top-up fund.
If The Legacy Media Wanted To Salvage Their Credibility, They Should Have Refused Trudeau’s Bailout Money
