Ever since the Gen 5 was publicly released, the company has been working on and testing the compatibility of various parts in addition to prototyping their own. One part that has fit from earlier Generations is their Apex Failure Resistant Extractor.

From the Press Release-

"Over the last 30 days, the design team here at Apex has been prototyping and testing the new Gen 5 trigger design to ensure proper performance in the new model pistols. We are happy to report that the new trigger is already in production and we plan to officially release the Action Enhancement Trigger and Action Enhancement Kit for Gen 5 Glocks mid-October."
