Poster's comments: Interesting how a benevolent technology can quickly be spun into an incredibly malevolent technology (or was it born out of malevolent intentions to begin with? I would suggest—yes). These scientist probably had good intentions, but the "funders" of this technology would have had something else in mind for humanity.
