In Acts 3:19, we read the words of the apostle Peter: Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
Repent requires a transformation of the mind and heart from willfully taking part in sin to striving to not sin or break God’s holy and immutable law. Repent means to turn away from our sins and to ask God for forgiveness for He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. That’s the merciful and compassionate but just God that we serve.
We are to flee from the ways of the world and be born from above with a new mind and new outlook on life and that life is Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17; 2 Corinthians 6:17).
God bless.
