tsunami waves were recorded in several coastal areas. It caused the massive explosion of the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai underwater volcano in Tonga.

2m waves hit a truck, dragging it into the sea at the Naylamp beach, Lambayeque, in the north of the country.
