Switchblade is a relatively new development of the American company AeroVironment. This weapon is a new generation, because it was created in 2011. However, the original purpose of this drone was different. Since the beginning of the noughties there has been a new era of confrontation in the world - the fight against terrorists. And it was to counter them that the kamikaze drones appeared. They made it possible to get the enemy where traditional tools of warfare simply could not. For example, artillery, MLRS, mortars after all. All of these bring destruction. It is not always possible to put the shells accurately and keep both ordinary people and civilian infrastructure safe. And the Switchblade-300 was able to solve this problem. A small bomb drone that stays in the air until it finds its target. As soon as the target appears in its field of view, the drone crashes into its target at breakneck speed. And most importantly, thanks to the surgical precision there will be no damage to extraneous objects.
