A Capital Case: Karl Marx Meets Sherlock Holmes by David Zane Mairowitz
A BBC Radio drama by David Zane Mairowitz featuring the fictional meeting between the world's foremost detective and the father of socialism and communism.
Sherlock Holmes is visited by a client who won't give his true name and asks him to recover a "kidnapped" manuscript. Holmes invariably learns the man's true name: Karl Marx, that the manuscript is that of DAS KAPITAL, Marx's masterpiece, and that Marx has many enemies, both in England and abroad.
Since Holmes can never been able to resist a challenge, despite his own personal misgivings and pressure from the British authorities (and Dr. Watson's own disapproval), gets caught up in a crossfire between communists, anarchists and the British Establishment that not only challenges his own view of the world and society but also may cost him his life.
