300gr Speer GDHP, 50AE VS Water Jugs!

Gun: Desert Eagle, Mark XIX .50AE 6" Barrel
Bullet .50AE 300gr Speer GDHP, Loaded by Elite Ammunition. Speer Part # 4493. IMI Brass.

It was getting dark enough the chrono wouldn't read properly, but I got a reading of 1,285 fps from these. About 100 fps shy of the Hornady XTP I chrono'd, but still very respectable for a first time loading.

Shot from 12 feet, bullet passed through 5 water jugs, and stopped outside of the 6th. Major diameter .810", minor 740".

Sure wish I could find some extreme expansion ammo in .50ae.

I'm also contemplating picking up some factory loaded Speer. They make claim their 300gr load does 1550fps from the 6" barrel.. Anyone ever chrono any?
