A really rare bit of footage - from 16mm home movie film recently acquired at an estate sale - this is the parade in Gallup, NM, put on for the occasion of the 1956 Inter-tribal Ceremonial that is held annually in that city. Members of the local tribes, mostly Navajo and Zuni, would travel there in buckboards and covered wagons, and ride through town at the head of the parade, followed by members of many other tribes and pueblos, in full dance regalia and traditional attire.
