Environmentalists called for action after more than 20 tonnes of dead fish washed up on the shores of one of Europe's largest saltwater lagoons in Spain. Campaigners warned the damage to the Mar Menor lagoon in Murcia may be irreversible. Local prosecutors have opened an investigation and local residents have staged protests calling for authorities to take action.
