Torrential rains wreak HAVOC in Italy’s RITZY Lake Como triggering landslides and flooding - WATCH

Footage shows the extent of damage torrential rain has brought to northern Italy, turning roads into rivers and sending debris into Lake Como.

Landslides were reported in the towns of Valle d'Intelvi, Brienno and Argegno, with reports of others along the eastern shore, and islands of wood and debris formed along the shoreline between Cernobbio and Como.

So far injuries are unknown as well as fatalities, but it’s the latest extreme weather to batter Europe.

196 people were killed in heavy flooding in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands and the destruction is expected to cost billions of Euros to fix.
