This digital transceiver kit from QRPGuys is a DSB radio, using both the upper and lower sideband. It is designed for the FT8 mode and crystal controlled. Since I have no use for FT8 I decided to order a custom crystal from Quartslab on the 7078KHz JS8 chat mode frequency. This is part two, finishing and testing the transceiver. The receiver seems a bit noisy and lacks filtering. I can't comment on transmit because of my output power issue (my mistake). My first impression is that there are better choices, but you certainly can't beat the price...
