The Assault Weapon That No One Wants to Ban

Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses a concept that we try to remain true to and wish the American political system would as well. Why, whenever terrible things happen with firearms, is there a massive push to ban all the guns, but when other inanimate objects are used to create the same destruction (see the automobile) we never talk about banning those objects? Knives, bats or the automobile, why do those on the gun grabbing left never preach about banning any of those items? The equal application of our laws to similar dilemmas is a cornerstone of our democratic system, and hypocritical approaches to what troubles our country will do nothing more than sew more divide into our nation.
