Got curious as to how the FN FAL gas port looked in comparison to some of my AR15 platforms. My FN FAL's all use the DSArms medium contour chrome lined barrels from 2003 when I built the rifles. Probably close to a thousand rounds through this rifle and gas port errosion is minimal.

No I was just curious. I'll probably get around to looking at all my rifle barrels at some point.
