After a devastating power infrastructure failure on South Padre Island and the surrounding area SpaceX Boca Chica, Texas and Elon Musk helped Sea Turtle, Inc by bringing in a huuuuge generator to help keep the Sea Turtle campus maintain heat and water flow to thousands of rescued sea turtles that were stunned by the 40F degree gulf and bay temperatures. Dozens of volunteers including SpaceX helped bring the turtles ashore. A special thank you to the City of South Padre Island for using the convention center to house over six thousand sea turtles. Yes that's right... Six thousand sea turtles were brought in from the frigid waters ranging from a few pounds to over 400 pounds! Thank you to everyone who put some much effort into this cause.
