Sharri Markson’s ‘What Really Happened In Wuhan’ book launched

Sky News host Sharri Markson has discussed her new book ‘What Really Happened in Wuhan’, saying there was a “great deal of knowledge” about the research occurring at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Chris Kenny hosted a virtual launch for Ms Markson’s book on Wednesday, with Fox News host Tucker Carlson also attending to discuss the revelations in the book.

“When you go back a decade, there were scientists who were forming a group called The Cambridge Working Group, who were writing in scientific papers campaigning for risky gain-of-function research to stop because it could cause a pandemic,” Ms Markson said.

“They were running such a strong campaign against this that the research did end up becoming banned under the Obama administration in 2014, that was then lifted.

“Mostly (Anthony) Fauci is blamed by everyone in the administration for lifting that.

“But even when the ban was going on, America was funding this research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”
