Amazing how old the Apache design is(1975) and yet how comparatively advanced it still is.
It goes to show how much the Cold War drove innovation and much it has stalled since the fall of the wall.
Not much real innovation has happened since. The F-22 is Cold War era tech and the F-35 is a holdover from that. The M-16 was designed in the 1950s and not much surpasses that iteration now. Looking forward to alien tech to step things up.
