ROM VL#5 Crystal Vista Trail

Ride on Mena VL#5:
This is another hike near Mena (about 41 miles away just south of Mt. Ida). This particular hike also involves crystals.
This trail is called Crystal Vista and is in the national forest so you can dig for crystals and keep them for personal use.
The trail up to the top of he mountain is only about a mile long, but I am so out of shape it felt like 5 miles.
This trail pretty much goes straight up the mountain, so strap on some good hiking shoes. We found quartz crystals, and some good Samaritans gave us some they found.
It was a lot of fun and we had a good time out in the woods. I highly recommend this hike, especially if you like hunting crystals.
