Landslide Suspected of Triggering Flash Floods
Manado is flooded today. Heavy rain continued to flush heavily.
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that heavy rain accompanied by lightning had occurred since 14.05 WITA which caused flooding and landslides.
The location of the incident was in Paal Dua, Manado City and Pineleng District, Minahasa Regency.
Quoted from the information from BMKG, a temporary analysis related to Manado's weather, namely the current dynamic conditions of the atmosphere, namely the low pressure area / LPA (1008 hPa) in the South China Sea and LPA (998 hPa) in the East Sea which forms the Cyclonal Circulation.
This condition causes a wind gradient pattern in North Sulawesi, namely the convergence of air masses / meeting of air masses in the North Sulawesi region. Air masses that meet in North Sulawesi are wet air masses carried from the western Pacific Ocean
