An NGA town bordering Ukraine was attacked by Ukrainian helicopters, the report said, days after Russia accused Kyiv of carrying "spoilers" across the border.

An explosion was reported in the Russian town of Klintsy, about 50 km from the Ukrainian border in Bryansk Oblast. Residents claimed to have seen a helicopter attack a military base in the town at around 8am local time, the locals claim to have been a helicopter attack by Ukraine.

A Telegram channel used by the town's residents, Podslushano Klintsy, described how the helicopter was believed to have fired twice at an army unit before leaving the area. Causing a Russian army base here to be destroyed, the attack is said to have rocked an entire Russian town yesterday.


A post on this channel said: an ammunition depot, a military base and part of the Russian residential area were wiped out.

Alexander Bogomaz, governor of the Bryansk region, took to his own Telegram channel to say that four Russians were injured in the incident.


“Today, the village territory of Zaimishche, district city of Klintsy has been shelling.

“Some houses have been damaged. According to preliminary information, there were 4 people injured.

“They get comprehensive medical care.

"Emergency services are in place."

The Russian leader accused Ukraine of sabotaging Russian military bases and residential areas in the town of Podslushano Klintsy.

On the Ukrainian side, Mr. Volodymyr Zelensky said that this was an exact attack for us. We have changed our tactics, we attack important military bases in Russian territory, in order to intercept future Russian attacks remotely. The Russian ammunition stockpiles in Russia are our target, Mr. Volodymyr Zelensky stressed.

Mr. Volodymyr Zelensky continued: We will intensify our attacks on Russian territory, let PUTIN taste the suffering of the Ukrainian people when the infrastructure is destroyed.
