One of the main features of the UK lockdowns has been the near-uniform consensus around them. As each one has gone by, cross-party support for lockdowns has only strengthened while fewer voices have been willing to offer anything in the way of dissent. Two notable exceptions, however, come from the British parliamentary system: Lord David Blunkett, a famous figure of the New Labour movement and former Home Secretary, and Sir Charles Walker, a prominent Conservative Party backbencher and vice chairman of the 1922 Committee, the all-important backbencher group that decides the leader of the party.

Coming from two very different political backgrounds, these unlikely bedfellows have joined forces to draw attention to the pitfalls of the UK’s ongoing lockdown policy.

Sadly, those who terrorize the population is non other than the government itself, therefore, whether we like it or not, the government became our worst enemy, or the modern day domestic terrorist who deserve life imprisonment. This is nothing else than tyranny and as Charles Walker said, they should be held accountable, and I hope that some time soon they will be. I am a great believer in democracy, free speech and freedom of expression, but I am completely against censorship, which is tyrannical. And as long as immunity is above the law, and not the law above immunity, as it is today in this country, we have no democracy but tyranny. And I believe Boris Johnson government completely lost the plot, they are gone insane, and no longer care of the population. They care only of themselves. They like to be seen like peacocks al over the TV screens, which is outrageous. These men and women should not be allowed near Downing Street, they are unfit to govern this country.
