A specialized recovery team assigned to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency resumed operations in Dien Bien province, Vietnam, Nov. 6-Dec. 11, 2015, in the search of two crewmembers of an F-4C aircraft lost during the Vietnam War. Excavations with wet screen structures require periodic maintenance to continue efficiency. Footage includes screen repair, pump maintenance, the cleaning of silt ponds as well as controlling water damage. DPAA, in its continued commitment to find and repatriate lost Service members, conducts global search, recovery and laboratory operations to support the Department of Defense’s personnel accounting efforts. DPAA deploys teams from its operational office based at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii to provide the fullest possible accounting of missing personnel to their families and the nation.
