Oklahoma Turkey Opener (2024)

After a crazy opening day in Arkansas, with tons of gobbles and near misses, we headed to Oklahoma to catch there opening day for turkeys.
We went from pounding out the miles all week on public land, where the high winds destroyed one of our tents, to a fast paced last morning hunt where we punched our tags and headed back to Arkansas in search of a tag recipe that tasted good. No luck on a recipe. lol
Lots of wind on this footage. May be a bit better in the future now that we have a new camera with some wind protection. We shall see.
As is the case with us, chaos and mishaps are going to happen. I know I say this all the time, but it is so true.
Anyway, Oklahoma has been chaotic both times we have been there and we expect it to be again next season, from tornadoes tearing up the state to high winds tearing up our tent, Oklahoma makes us earn every blessing and we look forward to visiting again next season. If only Arkansas would treat us with blessings, right? haha
