I've got an SR 1911 and I sorta wonder why a picatinny rail was'nt incorporated in the design.
I got the 10mm Ruger 1911... love it
I love the 1911's . All the common arguments to the side (capacity, number of parts, cost etc..) I grew up with them. And love the 10mm. Glad to see the Ruger review. Thank you.
I’ve yet to get or show much interest in the 1911 platform...
I grew up with Ruger’s P series, which.... meh. ?♂️
I’d have to get several other higher priority firearms like a PCC or two, and a SAPR, and a holdout in .380 before I start messing around with a 1911.
The SR1911 was going to be my first 1911. I looked around with other companies like kimber, colt, Smith and Wesson and others, and found that there are better firearms with better features out there for similar price points. I have a Kimber Raptor II stainless and arguably it shoots just as well but with better stippling, tritium night sights and has a second kind of cool factor that beats out the SR1911! Maybe the SR1911 would be a cool addition but for a full size it isn't my first choice of 1911.
