Myanmar Coup- Military Leader's TV Address Sparks More Angry Protests.mp4

Huge protests and a nationwide strike have swept Myanmar after a military coup ousted the democratically-elected government last week.
Min Aung Hlaing, the head of the new military junta, tried to justify the takeover in his first TV address.
He said the general election in November, which his party lost, had been unfair. The election was comfortably won by the party of Aung San Suu Kyi, who has now been detained.
People on social media reacted angrily to the general's speech and called for more protests.
The new government has attempted to block sites like Facebook and has imposed curfews. Some fear the military will resort to violence to quell unrest as tensions continue to rise.
