Two People Dead - BUT Police, Officer Safety, all heroes were safe and unhurt, and go on with lives. Pesky tax payers, pay millions.

Mooresville Police and a suspect they were chasing hit speeds of more than 110 mph right before a crash left an innocent woman dead,
MOORESVILLE, Ind. — Two people were killed in a crash Sunday near Mooresville after a driver fleeing police ran a red light, the Mooresville Police Department announced Monday.

Shortly after 9:30 p.m. Sunday, police tried to pull over an orange Honda Element for a traffic violation in the area of southbound State Road 67 and Woodside Drive.

MPD said the driver initially stopped, but as officers approached the vehicle, the driver made a u-turn on SR 67 and took off northbound at a high rate of speed. Police noted that the driver refused to stop and tried to evade officers as he continued north on SR 67.

The driver entered Hendricks County and ran a red light at the intersection of SR 67 and Enterprise Drive, per MPD. Police said the Honda collided with a Mazda in the intersection, which caused both vehicles to go up in flames.

Officers immediately tried to help both drivers by pulling them out of the vehicles and rendering aid until medics arrived, MPD said. Both were taken to Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis, where they were pronounced dead.

Indiana lawmakers consider changing turn signal requirement
The Marion County Coroner’s Office identified the driver of the Honda as 41-year-old Jason Howard and the driver of the Mazda as 62-year-old Vickie Berry. Both died from multiple blunt force injuries.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing. Anyone with videos, pictures or information should call the dispatch center at 317-831-3434.

Wow. I drive under the speed limit a lot in an effort not to speed. I've been stopped going a few miles over the speed limit. Some of these cops are over the top. They seem so angry, punitive, and brutish. They have earned the hate.

I got pulled over by a state trooper for driving about 2 miles an hour below. the trooper was doing about 10 or 20 miles faster than the highest speed judging by how fast he came up behind me when I was watching in my mirror. the cop was yelling at me saying I was going too slow. I laugh at him and said hey you are driving a souped up mustang undercover car and I'm driving a truck with a lawnmower engine compared to yours and you should slow down or go to a race track. he got mad and said he could arrest me. I said I'm sure you could and you could probably shoot me and lie about why you did it because it happens all the time. he paused awhile then told me to get out of here. so I laughed again and got back in my truck and drove off.

@TwoFeather: Omg! The cops seem hell bent on escalating things too. It's crazy to think anyone can maintain the exact speed posted all the time.
