Webster Tarpley on the silent war waged by the British oligarchy on the United States in the Asia-Pacific region from the 1920s onward. This silent war is, of course, a direct continuation of the 19th century hostilities between the U.S. and the British Empire – with, among others, the War of 1812, and the Anglo-French sponsorship of secession, the Confederacy, and the Civil War, as a means to break up and destroy the American Republic.

What Webster recounts here is the silent, and very cold war the City of London-centered British oligarchy spent most of the 20th century waging on the U.S. in the Asia-Pacific. This included:

(1) the 1920s geopolitical entente of the British Empire with Japan, a move to weaken America in the Pacific, and also to create artificial rivalry between the U.S. and Japan. This almost resulted in a conflagration, and actually laid the groundwork for Pearl Harbor and war in the Pacific;

(2) the 1944-1949 sabotage of the fragile Chinese Republic, resulting in its fall into the utilitarian, social-darwinist, blood-red hands of Mao Zedong – in the attempt to counterbalance U.S. initiatives in the area;

(3) the instigation of the Korean War, and then the sabotage of MacArthur's efforts by use of espionage;

(4) the use of insidious influence to get America into Vietnam and then to bog her down in a protracted, inhumane, counterinsurgency-based conflict.

Understand we're talking about the British oligarchy, not about the British people. These are entirely different things, and the British people are as much victims of the British oligarchy as any other group that's been, or is, exploited by this oligarchy.
What is meant by British oligarchy is, of course, the highly-organized collection of oligarchical interests, mercantile dynasties and aristocratic families, generally of Anglo-Venetian, Dutch and Prussian extraction, that have as their operational headquarters the City of London – the financial center of London, and the heart of the old British Empire.

This oligarchy's silent war against America has been ongoing since 1776, and it has always meant a civilization war in the deepest sense of the phrase: the clash between Anglo-Venetian colonial imperialism and U.S. optimism and progress.

The U.S. was the first modern, constitutional nation-state. It was founded on the best ideals of the European Renaissance, the ideals enshrined into the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights by the Founding Fathers.
These are the ideals of the constitutional, democratic Republic, devoted to protecting individual liberties and rights and to advancing the general welfare of the people – by means of economic and territorial development, and the creation of an economic environment wherein there can be a steady increase in the the value of labor and in the standard of living.
They are also those of progress: there are no limits to economic, scientific and technological development, life and the human condition can be continuously improved, and human enterprise can reach ever higher, as long as Man sets himself to it.
As such, they are also those of civilizational optimism: human civilization can be made ever better and more advanced, and it can be made to work for the average man or woman – and not the other way around.

This is of course what works, and it is the model that had made the U.S. into the most prosperous industrial nation in the world by the early 1900s, after little more than a century of existence as a sovereign nation.
And this was with America only partially living by those principles, during that otherwise convoluted timeframe. If she had fully lived by them, who knows what she could have been, even then, and how the world might have turned out.

If this model actually develops to the full in America and all over the world, it will finally liberate Humanity and allow her to go beyond her wildest dreams. And, she will certainly be free from all forms of arbitrarity and domination.

This is of course the *exact opposite* of what the Anglo-Venetians intend for the world.
The ruling concept here has always been to acquire and exert private dominance over the economies of the world. To make the world their private colonial holding.
As such, their policies are those of market domination by their transnational interests, controlled economic activity and limited development, minimal labor standards and a limited standard of living.
In particular, the underdeveloped areas of the world are to be kept in arrested development and dependency on the exterior, crippled by poverty, cultural backwardness and ethnic strife – easily dominated by oligarchical interests and by their vehicles of usury, resource exploitation and neofeudalist takeover.
