An earthquake of magnitude Light mag. 2.8 earthquake occurred around Wednesday, 24 Feb 2021 4 am (GMT -8) local time nearsoutheast of Lone Pine, Inyo County, California, USA. According to the USGS (United States Geological Survey), the quake hit on Wednesday, 24 Feb 2021 4:00 am local time at an intermediate depth of 5 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report. Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
