Gun sales surge as coronavirus pandemic spreads

Gun sellers across the United States are reporting major spikes in firearm and bullet purchases as the coronavirus spreads across the country.
Pictures of long lines outside gun stores in California, Oklahoma and elsewhere have gone viral on social media.
The ammunition website Ammo.com said it has recorded an unprecedented surge in bullet sales over the last three weeks. Administrators for the site, which ships ammunition to all but four states across the nation, released sales figures late Monday night showing a 77% increase in website visits between February 23 and March 15. Those visits led to a 222% increase in transactions over the same period when compared to the first three weeks in February.

Even moderate Joe Biden would significantly increase taxes on the wealthy if elected

Former Vice President Joe Biden’s plan to raise taxes on corporations and wealthy households would increase federal revenue by $4 trillion over the next decade, according to a new analysis by the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center.
While Wall Street may view Biden as more moderate than self-declared democratic socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, investors would still face dramatic tax increases under his proposals.

Pelosi looking at second impeachment hoax against President Trump

House Speaker Pelosi is considering a broad front strategy and will possibly make the announcement next month or soon afterward in an attempt to steal thunder from the GOP convention and Trump’s fall campaign.

She may consider articles of impeachment, which the House Judiciary Committee will dutifully bring up, on COVID, the riots, and the new Democrat talking point on Russian bounties on the heads of American troops in Afghanistan.

Where’s The Outcry Over Canada’s Own Shrinking Media Landscape?

Our media may not be reading off identical scripts quite yet, but we'd be fooling ourselves to think there isn't a problem.

A supercut of several American news stations reading from the same script recently went viral — in it, we see a choir of anchors perform nearly word for word a problematic screed about "fake news" and its dangerous effects on democracy.

This would have been alarming enough if the message were confined to only a small circle of stations; however, the reality is that right-leaning Sinclair Broadcasting Group owns more than 170 TV stations and plans on purchasing another 42, effectively giving it access to 72 per cent of American TV households.
