Jerusalem rises – Nehemiah rebuilds Jerusalem: Episode 10

We live in extraordinary times because Israel is back in the Land after 2000 years of living in the diaspora. The Hebrew language is once again in use after many centuries when it was just written on the ancient scrolls. And what is interesting is that the problems that Israel encounters today mirror those they faced when Jewish people returned to the Land for the first time. In today's episode, we will look at the story of Ezra and Nehemiah and see if the Biblical narrative of Jewish first return from the Babylonian exile can bring us more understanding of why Jerusalem becomes the most important city for Jewish people.
