The Idahoan shares his paraphrase of the 56th psalm.

Lyrics:
I appeal to the mercy of the Lord,
For my foes rise up with one accord,
And against me they come with overwhelming pow’r,
But in the Lord I’ll trust in this terrifying hour!

Every day my foes dispatch their spies,
And twist my words with slanderous lies,
But their devious schemes I shall not fear,
For my trust is in God, Whose true word doth endure!

My foes now an ambush do lay for my soul,
To slay me or bring me under their control,
But ‘tis they who imperil themselves by the sword,
For they shall not escape from the wrath of the Lord!

For He tallies my tears and my flight doth record,
Whenever my peril their schemes do accord.
My petition He hears when to Him I appeal,
And He makes all mine enemies take to their heel!

In God is my trust, and His Name do I praise,
Who delivers my soul and doth prolong my days,
And empowers me daily to walk in His ways,
So, to Him by His word a glad song shall I raise!
