So it should be no surprise to learn that murder is the leading cause of death for Chicagoans, ages 15 through 34, and it’s the second cause of death – after accidents – for newborns up to age 14.

So far this year, Chicagoans have shot 47 children age 12 and under, and killed 11 of them. ...
