What a cool piece. I used to limit myself to Ruger 22’s because of their customize-ability and most importantly their replaceable 30 round Ramline mags back in the days of Red Dawn gracing the silver screen. I knew capacity would be needed to conduct an American version of what the Mujahideen were doing to the Soviets elsewhere. This was my 11 year old self.
Rolling the calendar ahead about three decades….. I grew to appreciate classic Marlin and Remington 22s in particular and you have a super cool example. I’d even say it was “revealing” to learn the Western Auto sold a Marlin made gun.
I’m wondering why they called it the Revolution 120. Any ideas on that?
Also, What did Western Auto do? From the oic you supplied I can see they appear to offer Bikes and furniture on Vacation Days…. I’d be interested to know. I’m guessing they were in Texas… I’d love t know. Thanks

Western Auto stores were all across the US to my knowledge, not just a Texas thing. I think they started out sorta like a hardware store for vehicle stuff and other adds and ends like that. The are still around today but not in taht form, they were absorbed by Advance Auto Parts last I heard. On the name, yeah no clue there. Major manufacturers made guns for different stores for a very long time, since before 1900 up until the gun control act of 68 which made it harder for those stores to sell. anyway, those stores always had the guns branded and named something different than the original manufacturer's models so as not to compete directly.
