"This is a holy night, this night of salvation". Most Russians are Orthodox Christians. They celebrate Christmas on December 25th per the Julian calendar that was used during Christ's time. The world uses the Pope's calendar now, the Gregorian calendar, which changes the original December 25th to January 7th.

The first video is from OLGA VALIULLINA Free chants. The 2nd video is from Charlton Heston's magnificent "Ben Hur". We love the original music by Miklos Rozsa but we wanted to express what Russians believe using this popular Christmas song: "This is a Holy Night" (This Night is Holy)
