It was an honor and a privilege for our entertainment group to be asked to face paint at the first ever Halal Food Festival in Metro Vancouver which was held at the Surrey BC Civic Center besides City Hall near Surrey central sky train station, which is a very convenient location for everybody. What was surprising was the huge number of people that ended. It was pretty much wall to wall customers for every food booth or food tent. Some of the vendors displayed sold out signs by the time I got there at proximately 4 p.m. in the afternoon. And the Halal Food Festival still had many hours to go because it would end at 9 p.m. Saturday night. Parents and their kids were happy to visit our facepainter. We also twisted some balloons animals, even though we were not hired as balloon twisters.   We can see that from their happy faces. By 6 p.m. the weather became unbearable hot. We had reminder ourselves to drink lots of liquid or water to avoid dehydration.  Especially interesting was the explanation of what halal food did and did not include. That was very informative. I did not know that before.

At the end of this video clip, hear two girls say they've "never had this much fun at a birthday party before".
