The title of this video might rub some people the wrong way. But much of our intolerance for the cannabis plant (if not all of it) has been developed by nearly a century of a failed war on cannabis.

The big pharmaceutical companies don´t want people to grow their own medicine at home, and that is why they lobby against marijuan legalization. And since big pharma throws its money around, many politicians bend to the will of these giant, evil corporations.

What does the Bible say about cannabis? How does God feel about Cannabis? Would Jesus hate cannabis?

In the Bible, there is no direct mention of marijuana. The closest thing to cannabis in the Bible is alcohol. And the Bible does not condemn alcohol, which is a manufactured substance, unlike cannabis, which is a literal plant that grows from the earth. The Bible condemns ¨drunkardness,¨ but not the act of drinking alcohol in moderation. Consider that Jesus turned water into wine.

So the biblical principal that we can deduce from alcohol can be applied to cannabis. Don´t be a drunkard; don´t be a stoner. Also, people with addictive personalities should think twice about consuming any type of stimulants. But what is the government´s role in ´protecting´ people from cannabis? There is no role, and any intrustion in this area is unconstitutional, ungodly.

How dare any state or government declare a plant - a literal plant - that God made to be ´evil.´ God is perfect. God does not make mistakes. Therefore, God made weed because he loves it. He sees value in it. He wants it to be on the earth, and he put it here for people who want and need it. Simple as that. So how dare any authority make marijuana illegal!

The authorities have not the moral right to make a plant illegal. The same could be said of mushrooms. There are things the government can do to educate people about he potential risks of cannabis and other plants that have dangers, but you can´t ban a plant. There are many plants that are deadly (poisonous) if you consume them, but the government should not, does not, and morally, cannot make those plants illegal.

We must obey God as rule rather than man! How dare man take away what God has given us! How is it the job of any government to tell its citizens what state of mind they can and cannot have!!!

Make marjuana legal because God loves marijuana! And praise God for all of the righteous souls who have cultivated this beautiful plant all these years, putting life, liberty, and everything at stake to protect and preserve God´s creation.

You dont have any moral authority to make ANY of those decisions for others. You dont know these people. You could be talking to a guy who just quit drinking. He tries Mj instead to relax. It leads to...? The possibilities are endless. You don't seem to know God when you say "I think".

God made it directly. Meaning that God was creating the earth and everything in it, and God decided he wanted to make marijuana. That means he loves it since God loves his creation. Marijuana is a plant. God does not make mistakes. God´s creation is good.

¨Moral authority¨ to say what I believe about various subjects because, maybe, some Tom, Dick, or Harry might fall off some wagon somewhere? I am made in the image and likeness of the Most High, and because of that fact alone, I have the moral authority to speak. Tom, Dick, and Harry could listen to another podcast if this offends them so much.

@John Locke: LOL! No thanks. There are a lot of things that the bible doesnt mention directly (masturbation, space exploration, etc.) I think many people, institutions, and churches have been profoundly affected by 100 years of a failed war on marijuana, making it the ´demon´ plant. And I think a lot of people´s perceptions are established on anti-marijuana propaganda. If you were a Christian in 1925, and you saw someone smoke a doobie, you wouldn´t have thought it was any more a sin that smoking a cigarette. Hell, a lot of Christians owned slaves a few hundred years ago. My point? Our perspective on matters change over time as new information comes in
