A sandstorm wreaks havoc in Egypt, while turbulent weather conditions develop in the Middle East. The cold front will move north to east from the Mediterranean. Places like Egypt have already seen the wrath of the unstable weather in the region. After a rainy start to the week in northern Turkey, wet weather spreads to central and southern Turkey on Wednesday. Heavy thunderstorms on Wednesday caused floods and massive hail in southeast Turkey. One person was reportedly killed by lightning and three others injured. In addition to Turkey, most parts of Georgia, Armenia and West Azerbaijan experienced unstable weather conditions by midweek. Although rainfall will be widespread, it is unlikely to be strong enough to cause severe flooding as it spreads over several days.
