A first look at the Chameleon CHA Emcomm III portable wire antenna. As with other Chameleon products it is well built and the long wire promises good performance. I made a few contacts on 20m even though the wire was slung too low to offer a good angle of radiation. Further testing is needed on different bands using different configurations. I am very curious about using it on 80m. Frequency: 10M - 160M. Power: 100W SSB or 50W CW. Length: 73' + 25' Copper Clad KEVLAR PTFE (Teflon) (-70°C to 150°C) wire. Weight: 1.5 Lb.
