First Deer Camp of 2017

It's rifle season in TN and I've got a pocket full of tags and time for an over-nighter at the deer camp. Didn't get a lot of the footage I wanted this time around due to time constraints, but the trip was still a success. I have a feeling the local coyote population is effecting the amount of wildlife I'm seeing in the area, but I still could have filled a buck tag while I was out there if I wanted to take a small 4 pointer. I let him walk this time, but I'm not going to lie, the main reason I didn't take him was the thought of the 4 hour backpacking trip out of the woods with such a heavy load! So far, rifle season is off to a great start! Hunting with a 1980's Marlin model 336 in 30-30, shooting Winchester Super X 170gr bullets.
