Crumbling Educational System Affects All Americans

My husband was in a pizza shop the other day. The bill was 16.99, and he handed over a twenty. The kid behind the cash register was between 16 -- 20 years old, my husband said he wasn't sure if he was still in HS or not, adding that the kid couldn't MAKE CHANGE. Now, keep in mind, this was a computerized cash register that does EVERYTHING: punch the picture of the pizza and its size, and the pic of anything else being bought, and it gives you the total. Tell it the amount the customer is handing over (in this case, a $20) and it tells you the change. But the kid couldn't run the cash register! The pizza cook had to come out and do it -- handed my husband three ones, and was told to put the penny in the "take a penny leave a penny" jar. When he told me about this, I responded, "What do you MEAN he couldn't make change using a digital cash register?! All these kids do is play around all day long with computers, phones and tablets! How could he not figure out a computerized cash register?!" To which my husband answered, "Zero education. Its truly tragic -- they're *deliberately* being given ZERO education!" "Well", I said, "They sure are being indoctrinated into Communism though, aren't they? Guess that's ALL they're learning -- and certainly not even the *truth* about it, either!"
