Having read the Book of Joshua how is it the Jews can be called God's chosen people? The Bible records that the Jews committed genocide on the peoples that stood in their path to the so called " Promised Land ". The Jews weren't out of Egypt very long before they built a golden calf to worship instead of the Living God. According to the Bible the Jews of the old testament were easily lead away from the living God. Ancient Jews worshipped demons and devils like Baal, Moloch, Dagon and dozens of other. Supposedly Solomon ( according to the Talmud ) built the temple with the help of demons. How can the temple be Holy if it was built by demons? Why would the Living God need to use evil demonic creatures to build the foundations of the temple?
