20 years ago I stopped taking loans and have never taken a loan since. No matter how bad things got, it was still the best decision I ever made. Aside from always being able to afford gas, food, and clothing - no longer sacrificing the basics to pay some outstanding balance, what I found to be the best benefit was that any financial hardship I had was no longer able to be known by the system, and that I couldn't be judged on a hardship which was not my fault in the first place. The social credit system, however, is an entirely different monster creating a society which seems to leave no space for living along side of it. You're either in, or out. Not even people who would like to give a person a chance will be able to do so due to simply associating with those who don't fall in line, or have low scores, will affect their own score. I never thought I'd see this shit come to pass in my lifetime, or that the masses would actually allow it to happen. Can't say there was no warning.
