6 houses were destroyed and 30 houses were damaged due to the flood that occurred after the torrential rain in Başkale district of Van. A flooded woman was rescued at the last moment.

In the Esenyamaç Neighborhood, 60 kilometers away from the district, torrential flooding caused.

District Governor and Deputy Mayor of Başkale, who made investigations in the region, met with the families whose houses were damaged. 3 of the families whose houses were destroyed were placed in the boarding house in the district center. AFAD teams started to set up tents for the needs of those affected by the flood. Van Metropolitan and Başkale Municipality teams are also clearing the mud piles in front of the houses by opening the closed roads with construction machines.
