Authoritarian governments tell the ‘most appalling lies’ when they’re caught out

Liberal Senator Jim Molan says authoritarian governments such as China tell the “most appalling lies” when they are caught out.

This comes after Sky News host Sharri Markson’s documentary ‘What Really Happened in Wuhan’ uncovered evidence COVID-19 could have leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

“Every time we see an authoritarian government, be it Iran, or Russia or China, who is caught out doing something, shooting down an aeroplane or having especially from a lab something which kills 4 million people throughout the world … they tell the most appalling lies,” he told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“China initially quietly gathered together all the PPE it could find around the world before it told us there was a problem.

“Then it kind of said this was due to something coming into the country on frozen good from Australia, then they said it was from the American military who came across with a sports team.

“And none of that was true – Sharri did a fabulous job on that.”
